Pro-life group adds AOL, Hilton and Trader Joe’s to boycott list :: EWTN News

Let me just say that I do not believe that to simply stop shopping at these places is as effective as a organizing a letter writing campaign within your parish or community asking them to stop funding Planned Parenthood. I never want to see a company close down because of lack of business--companies hire folks from my community, I don't want to see them out of work either. However, if the letter campaign fails to convicne them, then it is time to take your business elsewhere.

Time to update my list.

------------------------------------
A pro-life group has released its revised edition of a boycott list of corporations which support Planned Parenthood, the world’s largest pro-abortion group. New companies on its list include AOL, Hilton hotels, Staples, Trader Joe’s, and Toys “R” Us.

Life Decisions International (LDI) said new additions also include the Mrs. Fields cookie stores, Kohl’s department stores, and the ING financial services company. Darden Restaurants, which include Bahama Breeze, The Capital Grille, Olive Garden and Red Lobster, have been added to the list along with Ignite Restaurants which include Brickhouse Tavern + Tap and Joe’s Crab Shack.
Hilton Worldwide hotels include Conrad Hotels, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inns/Suites, and Homewood Suites.

Reappearing on LDI’s boycott list are The Gap and the federal government-sponsored mortgage corporation Freddie Mac.

Corporations with a continuing presence on the boycott list include Wells Fargo, Nike, Time Warner, Bank of America, Walt Disney, Johnson & Johnson, Chevron, and Nationwide Insurance.

"As a direct result of the commitment, action and prayers of pro-family people, at least 256 corporations have stopped funding Planned Parenthood," said Kenneth C. Garvey, director of communications at LDI. "This should serve as a testament to those who thought it impossible to change corporate philanthropic behavior."

LDI estimates that the boycott has cost Planned Parenthood more than $40 million since the pro-life group’s Corporate Funding Project began more than 17 years ago.

Garvey criticized pro-life organizations which continue to use PayPal despite its owner eBay being targeted for boycott.

“Most pro-life groups are aware that it is a boycott target because it has funded Planned Parenthood, but they have consciously chosen to continue doing business with the company. Doing so is indefensible," he charged.

The LDI official said alternatives to PayPal exist and he would help anyone who has difficulty finding them.

"Corporate officials are learning that those who value life are among the most dedicated people on earth. We will not go away until corporate involvement with Planned Parenthood comes to an end," commented LDI chairman Thomas C. Strobhar.

The LDI Boycott List also includes a “dishonorable mention” section for charitable groups associated with Planned Parenthood or its agenda. Listed groups include the Lions Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Rotary Clubs, the Boys & Girls Clubs, Camp Fire Girls and Girl Scouts.
The American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Easter Seals, Ronald McDonald House Charities, YWCA and YMCA are listed, as are the Salvation Army and the charity America Gives Back, which is associated with the television show American Idol

Go Ahead and Call Me A Racist

“Those of us who care about the civil rights of all Americans, born and unborn, oppose Obamacare because we oppose the expansion of the most racist industry in America – the abortion industry.” Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

I cannot count the number of times I've been called a racist because I stand against abortion. It doesn't matter to me except for one thing: it illustrates the absolute ignorance of the anti-life people and that ignorance costs unborn babies their lives. During the elections Obama said he wanted unlimited access to abortion because he didn't want his daughters to be "punished" with a baby. Besides the obvious, one of the problems I have with that mentality is that it completely removes any responsibility from the man and reduces women to nothing more than an object of sexual gratification---consequence free.

In January I attended the Rally for Life in Nashville and one of the speakers Rev.Walter B. Hoye, opened my eyes to the terrifying reality of blacks and abortions in this country. Reverend Hoye was arrested in Oakland, earlier this year, for his anti-abortion protests. He was carrying a sign with the message "Jesus loves you and your baby. Let us help you!"

During his talk in Nashville, this past January, he spoke of the urgent need to inform people of the overwhelming numbers of black women who abort their children.
Here are some facts of Black History you won't find in the mainstream media.

* Since 1973 14.5 million black babies have been murdered because of abortion, 1200/day.

* Black women are five times more likely than white non Hispanic women to have an abortion

* Number of abortions per live births among black women: 450 abortions per 1000 live births

* Abortion remains the leading cause of death among Blacks in America

* For every 100 Black babies born alive, 77 Black babies are aborted

* 3346 Negros were lynched in America by the KKK; Abortion in the Black Community kills more babies in 3 days than the Klan could kill in 86 years

* More Black babies are killed in less than 2 months through abortion than the total number of American deaths in Viet Nam.

* Black Americans have been systematically targeted by bigoted, eugenic minded people:3 out of every 4 abortion clinics are located in poor, minority neighborhoods. Blacks make up approx 12% of the American population--yet are responsible for 37% of all abortions. Consider half of the 12% is female that gives you 6%, then consider half of the Black female population is of child bearing age--that gives you roughly 3% of the American population is responsible for 37% of abortions.
Margaret Sanger would be so proud--remember she pushed for the elimination of these "human weeds" and the sterilization of genetically inferior races. Can you guess who she deemed "genetically inferior"?

It would seem she is getting her wish--and every single pro-abortion person in this nation is guilty of helping her.

So go ahead and call me a racist right wing nut because I stand against abortion. But, we all know who the real racists are--those who are pushing abortion. You cannot escape the truth.

"The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their rebellious members."
Margaret Sanger, October 19,1939

When I forget

Sometimes, I get so busy with reading and blogging and fighting daily skirmishes with the locals in my hometown paper, I forget how good and glorious the power of the Holy Spirit is for us. I read this story just a little while ago. I've been under the weather for a week now, but because I have people to take care of and obligations to meet, I keep going, but I'm getting worn down. The new nastiness of politics is getting harder to deal with, especially when it is in your hometown. Just as i was getting ready to call it a night, I saw this headline and said "ok, one more."

It is an amazing and inspiring story to read. Her story renews my courage for the pro-life fight we have on our hands with the new healthcare "bill". This is woman is so courageous.
--------------------------------------------

By Hilary White
September 11, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A British policewoman and born-again Christian says it was a sudden and unexpected "rush of love" that in her mind transformed her unborn child, conceived in a date-rape, from "an alien" to a beloved daughter on the day of her scheduled abortion. Miriam Virgo credits God with stepping in to save her daughter's life.

Now 27, Virgo told her story in an autobiographical piece in Britain's Daily Mail yesterday, saying that, having come from a devout Christian family, she had never expected to find herself a single mother at 19. In 2001, she had attended a party with co-workers at which she believes her single glass of wine was spiked with a date-rape drug. After the attack and with no memory of that night, Virgo was shocked to find herself pregnant and considered obtaining an abortion.

"Coming from such a Christian family," she said, "I've never believed in abortion, but suddenly finding myself pregnant with a rapist's baby, I looked at it differently." She continued, "I just couldn't face the thought of the baby being born and looking like Rob [her alleged rapist] - it would be a constant reminder of what had happened."

After "counselling," Virgo said, she was ready for an abortion; but when the moment came, and she was already dressed in the hospital gown, she changed her mind after what she describes as a moment of help from God.

Ultimately, after she gave birth to Kayleigh, now seven, she found that the child did look like her attacker, and she experienced some difficulty bonding. But ultimately she overcame this, saying, "After all, none of this was her fault." A year after her daughter's birth, Virgo applied to and was accepted by the police force.

She said that when Kayleigh is old enough, she will tell her of the circumstances of her conception, and "I'll also tell her about the moment I decided to keep her, and how I felt all this love for her, love that is even stronger now."

In another interview, Virgo said, "God knew what my life would be without the girl and he knew what it would be with the girl. I prayed to God and asked for his will to be done in my life."

The so-called "rape exception" is commonly accepted, even by many who are inclined to the pro-life position, as a "compassionate" act for a rape victim. But pro-life apologists refute this, saying that it is neither just for the innocent child who is killed, nor beneficial for the mother.

Stephanie Gray, the head and founder of the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform, told LifeSiteNews.com that Miriam Virgo's story should be one that inspires others to make the same choice in favor of life.

It illustrates, she said, the basic principle of the entire pro-life cause, that an unborn child has dignity and value, no matter what the circumstances of her conception. "If the unborn are valuable because they're human," Gray said, "then how they come into existence does not change the fact that they are persons with inherent dignity."

Gray illustrated the principle with a hypothetical: had Virgo been married and "had consensual sex with her husband the night prior to her date rape, upon discovering her pregnancy she would not have known the identity of the child's father."

"Imagine if she hoped it was her husband's child and carried on with the pregnancy, and only after birth, with paternity test results, discovered the child's father was a rapist. Would she be permitted to kill the infant then because of the father's crime? Obviously not. Likewise, we may not kill an unborn child because of her father's crime."

Gray said that Virgo's "witness is a powerful example to all people, and that is that we should be other-focused, not self-focused."

"Even amidst her own victimization and deep pain, Miriam chose not to victimize an innocent child."

The Fight Against Planned Parenthood

We must keep working to shut down Planned Parenthood and here is why:

Madame Speaker, can we talk?

Last week I read of Justice Ginsburg's horrifying statement about her views on Roe v Wade. Her response is the sort of thing that "right wing conspirators" toss around about the true motives behind abortion and frequently those people get called "right wing conspirators". Is it a conspiracy if it is the truth? If this was truly her understanding of the purpose of Roe v Wade, and for years she remained silent about it, I do not believe it is too great of a stretch to suggest that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an extremely vile racist human being and guilty of many things, including deriliction of her duty as a Supreme Court Justice. [I get called racist frequently because of my opposition to the policies of the Obama administration so I do not use the word racist lightly]

From Catholic Fire

Emily Bazellon of the New York Times Magazine conducted an interview with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg entitled “The Place of Women on the Court” which appeared in its’ July 7, 2009 issue.

Justice Ginsburg was amazingly candid about her support of unrestricted abortion. In response to a particular question she supported even eugenics as a legitimate reason for a woman “choosing” to take the developing human life growing in her womb.

Here is an excerpt:

Q If you were a lawyer again, what would you want to accomplish as a future feminist legal agenda?

JUSTICE GINSBURG: Reproductive choice has to be straightened out. There will never be a woman of means without choice anymore. That just seems to me so obvious. The states that had changed their abortion laws before Roe [to make abortion legal] are not going to change back. So we have a policy that affects only poor women, and it can never be otherwise, and I don’t know why this hasn’t been said more often.

Q: Are you talking about the distances women have to travel because in parts of the country, abortion is essentially unavailable, because there are so few doctors and clinics that do the procedure? And also, the lack of Medicaid for abortions for poor women?

JUSTICE GINSBURG: Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae — in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions.] Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.(emphasis added)

Read the entire article here. This is so sick! And someone like this is on the Supreme Court? Lord, have mercy! Related Information:LifeSiteNews.Com: Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg: I Thought Roe Would Help Eradicate Unwanted Populations Through AbortionWorldNetDaily: Ginsburg: I thought Roe was to rid undesirablesWhat Does The Prayer Really Say? Justice Ginsberg originally thought Roe v Wade was about control of undesirable populations

On the other hand these 19 members of Congress are standing up to Madame Speaker and insist that she remove abortion completely from the health care reform legislation and they deserve at least a phone call of encouragement...and yes I do know that one of them is John Murtha. But, for me, the defense of life is the top priority.

From Creative Minority Report

Dear Honorable Pelosi:As the debate on health care reform continues and legislation is produced, it is imperative that the issue of abortion not be overlooked. Plans to mandate coverage for abortions, either directly or indirectly is unacceptable. We believe in a culture that supports and respects the right to life and is dedicated to the protection and preservation of families.

Therefore, we cannot support any health care reform proposal unless it explicitly excludes abortion from the scope of any government-defined or subsidized health insurance plan. We believe that a government-defined or subsidized health insurance plan, should not be used to fund abortion.

Furthermore, we want to ensure that the Health Benefits Advisory Committee cannot recommend abortion services be included under covered benefits or as part of a benefits package. Without an explicit exclusion, abortion could be included in a government subsidized health care plan under general health care. The health care reform package produced by Congress will be landmark, and with legislation as important as this, abortion must be addressed clearly in the bill text.

Furthermore, funding restrictions save lives by reducing the number of abortions. The Guttmacher Policy Review, a leading pro-choice research organization noted "that about one third of women who would have had an abortion if support were available carried their pregnancies to term when the abortion fund was unavailable."

Thank you for taking the time to consider our request. By ensuring that abortions are not funded through any health care reform package, we will take this controversial issue off the table so that Congress can focus on crafting a broadly-supported health care reform bill.

Respectfully yours,

Ok, Now I'm Confused

While he was at Notre Dame this weekend, Obama said he wanted to reduce the number of abortions. So, then can someone explain why the budge submitted by Obama urges Congress to repeal the Dornan amendment which actually does prohibit taxpayer abortions in our nation's capital?

If George Bush had done such a thing, black leaders from across the nation would be screaming "RAAACCIISTTT!!" at the top of their collective lungs--yet we hear barely a peep in the media about Obama doing the same thing. Hmmm...I am confused. If Obama is the first black president (I always wonder about the white half...but nevermind) why is he now advocating and facilitating genocide in a city that is overwhelmingly black?

If I am a Racist, Obama Hater...

...then, is this young man also a racist? If a white person and a black person have the same political position and the white person is called a racist because of the political position---then what about the black person? If both people have the same political and moral values could it be because those values are greater than race? Could it be because they rise above race or income or social status? Careful now, all you statists, another reality check is on the way.

Still Trying to Find Sympathy

Lately I have been developing a moderate case of Obama Drama fatigue. It is partly my own fault to be sure, no one forces me to watch the news or spend hours reading and researching, always hunting the truth or at least as close as I can get to the truth...

Last week however, the Obama drama increased again when Dear Leader released the "torture memos" In spite of strong warnings from men much wiser than I, he released them. Now, he is going to release photos. Does anyone think that besides Dear Leader and Nancy Pelosi and probably Harry Reid, the Islamic extremists are going to just smile and nod and say "O thank you so much Dear Leader of the Infidels" or is it more likely they are going to default to howling in outrage and increase their violent attacks against our soldiers still in Iraq and Afghanistan? These are the same people who rioted and murdered because of a couple of cartoons.

I don't like the idea of torture. It makes me cringe. I am not sure I could interrogate someone using the methods that were allowed by the government during the Bush administration. But, I sleep at night with gratitude knowing there are men who are willing to live with deliberately inflicting fear and pain on another person, who is intent on killing other Americans. We, Americans did not ask for this fight. Why then are the Democrats trying to undermine everything we have fought for in the last 8 years? Why are they so intent to tell our ENEMIES just what they can expect in case they are captured? Do any of them realize all the enemy has to do to become stronger is simply open schools and train with the same methods outlined in those memos?

How were those terrorists tortured? Did they have acid poured all over their bodies and were they left alone in a dark room to gasp and cry until they finally died? Were they sealed up in plastic garbage bags and tossed into a dumpster until they suffocated? Were they pulled limb from limb and then ground up and sucked through a plastic tube? Were they stabbed in the back of the skull and their brains were vacuumed out until their skulls were collapsed? No? Well, then what happened to them?

They were slapped, kept awake, made to sit in uncomfortable positions, denied food and water for a time, oh...and forced to stand naked and horror of horrors, the Fuzzy Caterpillar technique. The really stubborn ones got the special of the day--water boarded. Wow...they had water poured over their faces until they cried "Uncle" Yeah, that's just horrible. Of course, they had a choice. First, they didn't have to become terrorists. Not all Muslims are terrorist, so they had a choice. Since they bypassed their first choice, let's look at the second choice--cooperation. They refused. Oh well...sorry. If you don't want to get treated like a Terrorist---then try not to act like one...at least they have a choice.

Bloodman Obama and his bunch of Democratic lapdogs are willing to deny a helpless infant, medical care in the event of a botched abortion. They are willing to sign the death warrant for millions of Americans not yet born using methods that are beyond anything that was ever done to the terrorists in GITMO. But, the Democrats are convulsing in false outrage over the "torture memos" when they endorse, encourage and facilitate actions much worse in the name of a woman's right to choose.

I can show you videos of torture. I can show you videos of jihadis sawing off a captured Pakistani soldier's head as he lay bound and writhing on the ground. I can show you video of Talibani justice in which a woman is buried up to her chest in dirt and then stoned to death. I can show you videos of a woman being beaten and burned by the Taliban for accidentally showing her ankles in public. I can show you videos of torture, but please don't try to tell me what happened to those TERRORISTS in GITMO was torture.

Maybe when Bloodman Obama finds his elusive moderate taliban, I will find my elusive sympathy for GITMO detainees...or maybe not.

Dear Mr. President

This is a snippet of a very gracious letter sent today to President Obama from Rev. Hugh W. Cleary, C.S.C.Superior of the Congregation of Holy Cross, which oversees Notre Dame, if you are a Catholic who feels abandoned by our Catholic political leaders, I encourage you to read the entire letter.

===========================================
...President Obama, you are superbly versed in the issues of our day. I have no doubt that your policy convictions are grounded in rigorous study and that all your important decisions are supported by your conscience. Therefore, through this open letter, I would like to take advantage of the occasion of your receiving an honorary degree from Notre Dame, to ask you to rethink, through prayerful wrestling with your own conscience, your stated positions on the vital "life issues" of our day, particularly in regard to abortion, embryonic forms of stem cell research and your position on the Freedom of Choice Act before Congress.

Perhaps such an impertinent request rings with insolence. I mean you neither rudeness nor disrespect. I ask you this directly because as a Catholic, in this critical area of life and death issues, I hold and promote contrary views to your own as to what is right and just for the common good of our nation. ..

...President Obama, your presence at Notre Dame, a premier Catholic institution, is regarded by many good Catholics as scandalous because of your support of abortion rights, regarded by us as an intrinsic evil. In awarding you this degree, they experience Notre Dame as undermining essential, intrinsic Catholic dogma which upholds the dignity of human life. They believe that in honoring you or in giving you a platform to speak, the University of Notre Dame is selling her soul for who knows what: perhaps, at best, for the prestige and glory of having the President of the United States on campus during his first year in office or perhaps at worst, giving an endorsement to your "anti-life policies."

I do not believe this outrage is simply a demonstration of partisan politics. I sincerely want to rejoice in your presence at Notre Dame as President of the United States. But really, can I? In all sincerity, President Obama, how are we Catholics to deal with you, or any other government leader, who upholds what we believe to be the intrinsic evil of abortion and who is willing to sign the FOCA legislation? How are we to confront Catholic leaders in your own Administration by whom we feel so abandoned? Are we to use tactics of shunning you and dismissing you as we feel shunned and dismissed? This is a far from frivolous question. Shunning seems to be the growing trend among many Catholic leaders and institutions today. It seems to be the only recourse left open. It is, of course, a tactic many politicians have used on occasion, including yourself...

...Faithful Catholics believe that the fetus, the embryo, growing in the womb is a distinct human being. We believe that the new child's mother is the guardian of her baby's life within her womb. She is offering this new creation precious hospitality, just as a Christian might give a journeying pilgrim the respite of hospitality within one's own home.

This much we know, Mr. President, in our culture, dictated by the law of the land, a newly conceived embryo is not offered the dignity and rights of an independent, innocent human being. "There is no God who condones taking the life an innocent human being." As Catholics, this much we know, abortion is taking the life of an innocent human being. Nothing will ever change that.

President Obama, would you really sign into law a bill like FOCA which would force faith-based hospitals and healthcare facilities to perform abortions? Would you deny doctors and health care professionals their most precious human freedom in choosing life?

The issue of choice in American law looms large before us: in your logic it will be lawful to choose abortion but it will be a crime to choose life. In Catholic logic one cannot choose to murder in any circumstance, even in punishment for crime. One can choose life but not death. I am not so naïve as to believe that passing such ill-advised, contemptible legislation such as FOCA will "end the culture wars" as you have stated. On the contrary it will be considered by many of us as a persecution of the Catholic Church...

...Mr. President, may I be so audacious as to suggest that you have made a mistake in your position supporting abortion rights as the law of the land. May I suggest, with all humility for I am far from perfect, that you give your conscience a fresh opportunity to be formed anew in a holy awe and reverence before human life in every form at every stage - from conception to natural death. For we are all the Children of God.

Please tell me this is false?

Ok, a few weeks ago, I blogged about the Missouri memo which specifically targeted rightwingers, Ron Paul supporters and generally anyone who openly opposes BO's socialist plans for this country. Then the memo was pulled, which was a pretty good sign.

Then I get this in an email from a friend. He basically asked me to PLEASE tell him this is a fake. I checked the watermark on the background against a document I have that I know to be real from Homeland Security...the seal appears to me to be genuine. Ok, so check one. Spelling and grammar checks out as to be written by a professional, with good grasp of the English language(maybe eliminating the possibility it was written by a non- English speaking person in an effort to cause trouble between the gov't and the people--I know, thats kinda far fetched but hey, thanks to 9-11 I question everything) I showed this to a few other people who have long experience with gov't documents and none of them found anything wonky with the report. So, I'm going with a reasonable certainty this is a genuine document...and it scares me.

The opening paragraph says

(U//FOUO) This product is one of a series of intelligence assessments published by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch to facilitate a greater understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the United States. The information is provided to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials so they may effectively deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks
against the United States. Federal efforts to influence domestic public opinion must be conducted in an overt and transparent manner, clearly identifying United States Government sponsorship.

Ok, so I don't have a problem with them hunting down terrorists, until I read further and find out just who they view as potential terrorist. Highlighted words are my own.

UNCLASSIFIED//FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY
UNCLASSIFIED//FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY
(U) Key Findings
(U//LES) The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has no specific
information
that domestic rightwing* terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent issues. The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization andrecruitment.
— (U//LES) Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups
during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts. Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic
downturn—including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability
to obtain credit—could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing
extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and
government authorities similar to those in the past.
— (U//LES) Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first
African American president,
and are focusing their efforts to recruit new
members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal
through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning.
(U//FOUO) The current economic and political climate has some similarities to the 1990s when rightwing extremism experienced a resurgence fueled largely by an economic recession, criticism about the outsourcing of jobs, and the perceived threat to U.S. power and sovereignty by other foreign powers.
— (U//FOUO) During the 1990s, these issues contributed to the growth in the
number of domestic rightwing terrorist and extremist groups and an increase in
violent acts targeting government facilities, law enforcement officers, banks,
and infrastructure sectors.
— (U//FOUO) Growth of these groups subsided in reaction to increased
government scrutiny as a result of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and
disrupted plots, improvements in the economy, and the continued U.S. standing
as the preeminent world power.
(U//FOUO) The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.

So, in a nutshell...everyone but the liberal leftards should be under suspicion for terrorist activities...fellow Americans;INSPITE of having NO evidence that any group or person is planning an attack. Talk about the politics of fear...my God in heaven have we come to neighbor spying on neighbor? Im SO glad the war on foreign terrorism is over and there are no more threats of "man caused disasters" since BO was elected---now he can focus on weeding out those radical Conservatives.

This is the definition of rightwing extremism according to this document:

U) Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to asingle issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

So, whatever you do, don't talk about the crazy, evil MUSLIM jihadists, or the cowardly Palestinian terrorists who use children for human shields, or ILLEGAL immigrants, or STATES RIGHTS to reject unConsitutional laws or regulations, or the DELIBERATE MURDER OF THE UNBORN in this country...or else you might wind up on the LIST...

My Response to Disappointed Catholics

"He garnered the majority of Catholic votes in the 2008 election, but a number of Catholic groups now say President Obama is showing a complete lack of regard for their beliefs."

Oh Reaaally? You stupid, STUPID, selfish Catholics who thought you could vote for a man who demonstrated a complete lack of regard for YOUR beliefs when he blatantly refused to help babies who survive abortion attempts are NOW surprised that he ...what somehow hasn't magically changed into the One of your dreams? Ohhh get thee behind me O foolish ones!! And now, he has signed off on embryonic stem cell research, erased conscience protection for healthcare workers, and is going to push through FOCA and you are just NOW disappointed? When Catholic hospitals close across the nation, you disappointed Catholics who voted for this man will bear that responsibility.

I have no patience at all for your handwringing and bellybutton gazing. How many of your fellow Catholic brothers and sisters begged and pleaded with you to pay attention to the facts and stop "feeling" that he would make a difference? How many times did our POPE remind you--vote for life. "America--Choose LIFE!" Pope Benedict said to us when he visited and you didn't listen, because you were so wrapped up in your self importance that you were unable to realize that the evil one was whipering into your ear..."pay no attention to that old man, you know better than he does."

"President Obama has already reached out and won the Catholic vote," Jon O'Brien, president of Catholics for Choice, said.
"That's what happened in the last election in spite of the very loud voices of some extreme uber-Catholics who really want to paint this black and white picture -- to engage us in this endless culture war," he said."

Jon O'Brien, why do you still call yourself a Catholic? Obama did not win my vote, but I guess according to you, you pathetic sycophant of evil, that I am an extreme uber-Catholic. Well, guess what...you are either Catholic or you aren't, there is NO middle ground. You either stand against the intrinsic evil of murdering innocent children or you enable the evil to continue. There is NO middle ground.

I really pray for all of my Catholic brothers and sisters--and I personally know quite a few and I pray for the person who drives that damned car with the OBAMA bumper sicker on it that I pass every Sunday in the parking lot.

I pray that you will come to realize what a grave injustice you helped bring about through your votes last fall and then step up to your responsibility to work as hard to correct the injustice as you did to create it.

The blood of thousands of slaughtered innocents demands it.

So Speaks our dear leader

“Far too often, we have seen faith wielded as a tool to divide us from one another—as an excuse for prejudice and intolerance,” President Obama says. You mean like Rev Wright does when he gives a sermon? YOU should know, you listened to them for years.

“Wars have been waged. Innocents have been slaughtered. For centuries, entire religions have been persecuted, all in the name of perceived righteousness." Really dear leader, which religion might that be? Could you mean the JEWISH people? Could you mean CATHOLICS? You do? Guess which "religion" is persecuting them TODAY? Try MUSLIM.

“There is no doubt that the very nature of faith means that some of our beliefs will never be the same. We read from different texts. We follow different edicts. We subscribe to different accounts of how we came to be here and where we are going next—and some subscribe to no faith at all." Perhaps for now, dear leader. But, we won't have that OPTION if radical jihadis succeed. Remember dear leader, they are the ones who say they will either kill or convert the non-believers?

“But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate." Are you kidding me, dear leader? Please tell me you are seriously not that naive. Please?? dear leader???

"There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know.”Ahhh dear leader, we can agree on this one. There is NO God who condones taking an innocent human life. Tell me dear leader, who do the jihadis give praise to, just before they send a young woman with bombs strapped to her body into a crowded market? Allah? Is that their idea of God? Sooo...if there is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being...and jihadis TAKE the lives of many innocent human beings, that would seem the OPPOSITE of your position about God. Soooooo..hmmm...stay with me here dear leader...I wonder who they could be praying to, really?

Second question dear leader, just which God did you pray to before you voted FOUR times to allow victims of botched abortions to suffer and die alone? FOUR times you had the chance to stop murder of the innocents and you chose to stand with the abortionists...just like the crazy jihadis who had the chance to stop the murder of innocents in a marketplace...this much we know...

Catholics who voted for Obama take note

Thank you Bishop Hermann for being so outspoken about this issue. I was appalled to see the numbers of Catholics who voted for Obama and his culture of death cronies. I am still appalled to see that Pelosi and Biden and Kerry are still receiving communion...but, they will have to answer for that one day.
"Obama is not the enemy. He needs and deserves our prayers, not our condemnation. As Catholics, we are not guiltless. It seems to me that when President Kennedy compromised Catholic teachings and accommodated political pressures in order to be elected to the highest office in the land, he set the tone for many Catholic leaders to follow and to compromise their Catholic principles to get ahead. In our Supreme Court and in our Congress, we have a plethora of so-called Catholics who are failing to live their Catholic identity. Over 50 percent of our electorate voted for a president who is one of the most pro-culture-of-death candidates from a major party to run for the highest office of the land. Yes, we can thank one-half of our Catholics for bailing out on their faith!”

I'm trying hard not to view Obama as my enemy. It makes me feel very uncomfortable to think of my president as my enemy. But, the reality is: most of his political and social views and most of his world views are completely opposite to my views. Surely, one of us is wrong? If I perceive danger from someone then shouldn't I view them as an enemy? I surely don't think of them as a friend. Perhaps that is the trouble with viewing the world in black and white...I can't see the shades of grey. But, in the fight against evil, can there be shades of grey?

“President Obama, pro-choice legislators and Planned Parenthood are not our enemies. Our enemies are the invisible forces masked behind these people … They are used by our common enemy, Satan, and his evil forces, to get us to hate so that we, too, will end up in a culture of death … We owe all of them prayers and fasting for their conversion. At one point, Gov. Reagan was California's very pro-abortion governor. Yet he became a very pro-life president. He repented and regretted the evil he supported. We must bravely witness against supporting pro-choice and pro-abortion candidates in political elections, but pray daily for their conversion.”

The point about Gov Reagan still gives me hope. But, that hope is fading fast in light of the news that congress is poised to vote for for a disgusting bill "Prevention First Act" among some of the jewels offered in this act is forcing insurance companies to fund abortifacent contraceptives. http://www.all.org/article.php?id=11701

I think for me the rest of the arguement can be summed up with this quote from the good Bishop " Until we are willing to be politically incorrect in order to be biblically correct, we will never convince anyone that our religion is worth living." Amen.

Today is...

...Sanctity of Life day. The day to march and pray and fast and pray some more that the genocidal practice known as abortion will come to an end. We murder our unborn children in this country and call it a medical procedure. We murder our tiny unborn babies because they are "inconvenient" or "just a bunch of cells" or "we don't know who the father is" or "I have to finish school" or "I just can't have a baby now" Those are not reasons to murder a child.

When the hard truth is---murdering the unborn is a money making machine. Abortionist make millions of dollars a year because too many women have fallen prey to now popular cultural lies/myths that the pro-abortion crowd has deceived them with for the last three decades.

If you've had an abortion and regret it, my heart goes out to you. I know that our views on life and who we are change as we move through our lives and what may have seemed to be the right decision then, haunts you now. I can understand this. If you are one of those women, then know you are included in prayers all across this country for healing and help. If you are a father whose child was lost to abortion, I send you my heartfelt prayers for healing and peace. Please go here for more help and information. http://www.silentnomoreawareness.org/

If you are one of the millions who believe that a woman has the right to chose what happens to her own body(and so does the tiny person inside her body) then please take a few moments to read this superb article by Kyle Ann Shiver.

An atheist's defense of abortion, as opposed to say, first degree murder for money, rests upon a single characteristic of the unborn child: location. In this view, we accept the reality of our murdering the "unwanted" child for our own convenience, simply because the child requires his mother's womb to continue living. In the atheist's mind, this matter of utter dependence confers the right to kill without provocation.

It seems to go unnoticed, even by atheists, that a great many others are also completely dependent upon other human beings to continue living, all infants and young children, severely handicapped persons, many infirm elderly, etc.

Thinking of individual persons as property is certainly not new, not by any means. Yet even modern atheists recoil at the notion of slavery, as a barbaric practice among less-enlightened people.

However, as Alveda King, niece of MLK passionately explains, abortion is quite akin to slavery:
"How can the "Dream" survive if we murder our children?
Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother. In the hands of the mother is the fate of that child - whether that child lives or dies."

Please read the rest of the article 40 million + children have been murdered in this nation in the last three decades. Genocide anyone?

Prayer For Unborn Child
Composed by Rev. Louis E. Gelineau, D, D., Bishop of Providence

O God, our Heavenly Father, You sent Your Son into this world that He might Bless and Consecrate all life to You.
Your constant Love protected Him as the Ever Virgin Mary bore Him in Her womb for nine months.
In His mission He taught us the Greatness of Your Love and the Sanctity of Life.
We pray that we may always cherish the Life that You give us.
In a special way we ask and pray that You Grace and Protect all unborn children with Your ever caring Love.
We pray this in the Name of Jesus, Who is Lord, Forever and Ever.
Amen.

Pain

Take a look at this image. In a fetus just 8 weeks old, the thalamus is functioning...and a fetus at just 8 weeks old can feel pain. Want to read more?

"Pain can be detected when nociceptors (pain receptors) discharge electrical impulses to the spinal cord and brain. These fire impulses outward, telling the muscles and body to react. These can be measured. Mountcastle, Medical Physiology, St. Louis: C.V. Mosby, pp. 391-427 "Lip tactile response may be evoked by the end of the 7th week. At 11 weeks, the face and all parts of the upper and lower extremities are sensitive to touch. By 13 1/2 to 14 weeks, the entire body surface, except for the back and the top of the head, are sensitive to pain." S. Reinis & J. Goldman, The Development of the Brain C. Thomas Pub., 1980"

Obama refused to help infants born alive

Suppose you agree with his tax and spend policies,
suppose you agree with his dangerous views on foreign affairs
suppose you agree with his deadly and dangerous friends
will you agree with his emotionless and compassionless view on infants born alive after a botched abortion?
Please watch this video, caution, it is very hard to watch not because of alot of graphic and horrific images, but because of the truth it contains.
Here are Obama's own words, in his own voice...

A Clean Heart

Now here is something to think about if you are still considering voting for Obama.

What is a proportionate reason when it comes to abortion? It's the kind of reason we will be able to explain, with a clean heart, to the victims of abortion when we meet them in the next life – which we certainly will. If we're confident that these victims will accept our motives, then we can proceed." - Bishop James Johnston of Sprinfield-Cape Girardeau

A true Survivor

Melissa Ohden surived a horrifying attempt on her life, just 20 weeks after her conception. Every life is precious, every life must matter.
