YES! More please!

"We're going to say to friend and foe alike: We want you to be a part of us, we want you to with be with us, and for those who wish to obstruct, get ready to get knocked over," Steele said.

Michael Steele is now the RNC chairman---my party has Howard Dean...why haven't I switched YET?
Michael Steel is a devout Catholic, pro- life, anti embryonic stem cell research kinda guy. NICE. Maybe when the Republican party can truely understand what conservatism means , I will think about switching parties...I really don't care for the feeling that the Democratic party is becoming the party of death

Obama hates white people.

Yeah, I said it. If I use the same demented logic the Bush haters used during the Katrina disaster, then yes Obama hates white people. Here's how I got there...

Since this week's ice storm, over 607,000 people are without electricity in Kentucky alone. Yet, while hundreds of thousands of Americans shiver in the freezing cold, fighting for life, Obama and Congress dine on wazuu (or something) steak that costs around $100 a serving, sip expensive cocktails and Obama decrees that "he doesn't like the cold" then orders the White House thermostats to be set at temperatures so warm it reminds him of his home in Africa...I mean Hawaii. Temperatures so warm he can work without his suit jacket---yet he tells the rest of us to sacrifice and wear a sweater so we can lower our energy bills and save the planet.

As far as I can tell, Obama hasn't even mentioned the ice storm and the power outages, some three days later. I can remember the demented howls of the media driven left when President Bush didn't immediately leap into his Bushmobile and swoop in to save the poor misguided populace of New Orleans...you know that Chocolate City of Mayor Nagan's dreams.

Now, I havn't googled it, but I'm pretty sure the general population of Kentucky is overwhelmingly white and I am reasonably certain that Kentucky does not rank in the top five of average income earners, so applying the same logic that was so generously applied to President Bush...Obama hates white people.

It is a conspiracy to kill off the whites because everyone knows the long and oppressive history of the whites in Kentucky. Its payback for the years of slavery that Obama some how identifies with, when in fact his father was from Africa, a muslim and possibly somewhere in that family's history on the opposite end of slavery than America's blacks. But, a minor inconvenient point, right?

Do you see how stupid you liberals sounded to the rest of the common sense people in America during the Katrina disaster? Come on media people, fair is fair, you have to cover the ice storm with the same breathless horror as you did the Katrina disaster, otherwise aren't you risking the Republicans using the Fairness doctrine argument against you?

To the people of America who are affected by this ice storm, hang in there and thank you for showing the rest of the country how true Americans handle a crisis, without resorting to raping, murder, looting, and whining. Take care Americans and I'm praying for you.

Catholics who voted for Obama take note

Thank you Bishop Hermann for being so outspoken about this issue. I was appalled to see the numbers of Catholics who voted for Obama and his culture of death cronies. I am still appalled to see that Pelosi and Biden and Kerry are still receiving communion...but, they will have to answer for that one day.
"Obama is not the enemy. He needs and deserves our prayers, not our condemnation. As Catholics, we are not guiltless. It seems to me that when President Kennedy compromised Catholic teachings and accommodated political pressures in order to be elected to the highest office in the land, he set the tone for many Catholic leaders to follow and to compromise their Catholic principles to get ahead. In our Supreme Court and in our Congress, we have a plethora of so-called Catholics who are failing to live their Catholic identity. Over 50 percent of our electorate voted for a president who is one of the most pro-culture-of-death candidates from a major party to run for the highest office of the land. Yes, we can thank one-half of our Catholics for bailing out on their faith!”

I'm trying hard not to view Obama as my enemy. It makes me feel very uncomfortable to think of my president as my enemy. But, the reality is: most of his political and social views and most of his world views are completely opposite to my views. Surely, one of us is wrong? If I perceive danger from someone then shouldn't I view them as an enemy? I surely don't think of them as a friend. Perhaps that is the trouble with viewing the world in black and white...I can't see the shades of grey. But, in the fight against evil, can there be shades of grey?

“President Obama, pro-choice legislators and Planned Parenthood are not our enemies. Our enemies are the invisible forces masked behind these people … They are used by our common enemy, Satan, and his evil forces, to get us to hate so that we, too, will end up in a culture of death … We owe all of them prayers and fasting for their conversion. At one point, Gov. Reagan was California's very pro-abortion governor. Yet he became a very pro-life president. He repented and regretted the evil he supported. We must bravely witness against supporting pro-choice and pro-abortion candidates in political elections, but pray daily for their conversion.”

The point about Gov Reagan still gives me hope. But, that hope is fading fast in light of the news that congress is poised to vote for for a disgusting bill "Prevention First Act" among some of the jewels offered in this act is forcing insurance companies to fund abortifacent contraceptives. http://www.all.org/article.php?id=11701

I think for me the rest of the arguement can be summed up with this quote from the good Bishop " Until we are willing to be politically incorrect in order to be biblically correct, we will never convince anyone that our religion is worth living." Amen.

Today is...

...Sanctity of Life day. The day to march and pray and fast and pray some more that the genocidal practice known as abortion will come to an end. We murder our unborn children in this country and call it a medical procedure. We murder our tiny unborn babies because they are "inconvenient" or "just a bunch of cells" or "we don't know who the father is" or "I have to finish school" or "I just can't have a baby now" Those are not reasons to murder a child.

When the hard truth is---murdering the unborn is a money making machine. Abortionist make millions of dollars a year because too many women have fallen prey to now popular cultural lies/myths that the pro-abortion crowd has deceived them with for the last three decades.

If you've had an abortion and regret it, my heart goes out to you. I know that our views on life and who we are change as we move through our lives and what may have seemed to be the right decision then, haunts you now. I can understand this. If you are one of those women, then know you are included in prayers all across this country for healing and help. If you are a father whose child was lost to abortion, I send you my heartfelt prayers for healing and peace. Please go here for more help and information. http://www.silentnomoreawareness.org/

If you are one of the millions who believe that a woman has the right to chose what happens to her own body(and so does the tiny person inside her body) then please take a few moments to read this superb article by Kyle Ann Shiver.

An atheist's defense of abortion, as opposed to say, first degree murder for money, rests upon a single characteristic of the unborn child: location. In this view, we accept the reality of our murdering the "unwanted" child for our own convenience, simply because the child requires his mother's womb to continue living. In the atheist's mind, this matter of utter dependence confers the right to kill without provocation.

It seems to go unnoticed, even by atheists, that a great many others are also completely dependent upon other human beings to continue living, all infants and young children, severely handicapped persons, many infirm elderly, etc.

Thinking of individual persons as property is certainly not new, not by any means. Yet even modern atheists recoil at the notion of slavery, as a barbaric practice among less-enlightened people.

However, as Alveda King, niece of MLK passionately explains, abortion is quite akin to slavery:
"How can the "Dream" survive if we murder our children?
Every aborted baby is like a slave in the womb of his or her mother. In the hands of the mother is the fate of that child - whether that child lives or dies."

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/01/roe_is_only_the_beginning.html
Please read the rest of the article 40 million + children have been murdered in this nation in the last three decades. Genocide anyone?

Prayer For Unborn Child
Composed by Rev. Louis E. Gelineau, D, D., Bishop of Providence

O God, our Heavenly Father, You sent Your Son into this world that He might Bless and Consecrate all life to You.
Your constant Love protected Him as the Ever Virgin Mary bore Him in Her womb for nine months.
In His mission He taught us the Greatness of Your Love and the Sanctity of Life.
We pray that we may always cherish the Life that You give us.
In a special way we ask and pray that You Grace and Protect all unborn children with Your ever caring Love.
We pray this in the Name of Jesus, Who is Lord, Forever and Ever.
Amen.

Islamization vs. Geert Wilders

“If I have to stand trial, I will not be alone, stand trial alone, but also
with the hundreds of thousands of Dutch people who reject the Islamization of the Netherlands,Their opinion is only represented in The Hague [parliament] by the Party for Freedom. Who else will stand for our culture when I have to remain silent? This strengthens me in these harsh days ...” Geert Wilders.

I didn't know who this man was before today. But, the very idea that he is going to be tried for speaking out against the literal take over of his nation by Islamic radicals, send chills through my soul.

Are you paying attention? This man is going to be made to stand trial---in his very own country--- because he produced the following video. What country is this, you ask? Iran? No. Saudi Arabia? No. Ah...then..Syria? No. The Netherlands. You know, the country of tulips, windmills, dikes, wooden shoes...and Islamic fascists? Yeah...thats the one.

The High Muckamucka Politicians! LOL

Awww...shucks! I missed Glenn's opening show on Fox. Sorry, Glenn it just slipped my mind. I will try to do better.

Here is a clip of his interview with Sarah. Yeah, you know who I'm talkin about. This woman is just pure fun to watch when she's not hemmed in by the MSM.

http://www.teamsarah.org/ Check it out :)

Just a note

When historians look back at President Bush's legacy, maybe someone will read this article. I don't care if you personally like the man, the truth of what he has accomplished should not be denied. Of course the flakes on the left will---and I suppose that is alright with me. The more those people speak the more rediculous they sound, IMHO.

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1232292908169

"Here is a politically incorrect assessment: Today President George W. Bush
will hand over to his successor a Middle Eastern foreign policy outlook far
brighter than the one he inherited from Bill Clinton. The 44th US president will
have in the Gulf area and beyond what No. 43 so desperately missed: freedom of
action to react to upcoming crises...

Eight years on, the US position in the Gulf looks much more
manageable: Strenuous double containment of Iraq and Iran has given way to
difficult but doable containment of Iran. Today, Iraq looks like the most
promising country in the entire region. In Baghdad, the Arab world's only
democratic government has gained authority throughout the country. Sunnis,
Shi'ites and Kurds have looked into the abyss of civil war and wisely shrank
back from the edge. Baghdad is running up a budget surplus of $70 million, which
will render peaceful deal making among Iraq's tribes and religious factions
easier. The country enjoys freedom of the press, and rebuilding is in full
process."

GOP conservative enough?

Maybe if the GOP can make this swing to conservatism, I can make the swing from Dem to Rep...hope-N-change can happen. Why can't we just have a conservative party and a liberal party and a socialist party, etc. and forget about all the silly window dressing. The Democratic party has changed so has the Republican party---but conservatism is always going to be conservatism.
Anyway, enjoy this article by Larrey Anderson over at American Thinker.

January 21, 2009
Conservatism's Dilemma: To be or not to be in the GOP
By Larrey Anderson
The GOP heavily (almost exclusively) relies on conservatives for grassroots campaign workers and financial support. But the Republican Party has a long history of exploiting conservatives' efforts and misusing conservatives' financial contributions. In many ways, the situation is reminiscent of an abusive marriage. Is it time for conservatives to finally recognize the lies and abuse and move out of the house? Or is some sort of reconciliation still possible?

I will make my position clear from the outset. A divorce by conservatives from the GOP would be a disaster for all of the parties involved. Just like most marriages, the grass may look greener on the other side of the fence -- but it almost always isn't. This is true for the GOP and for conservatives.

The "big tent" speeches may be staple rhetoric of the GOP hierarchy; but, if conservatives pack up and leave, the GOP will be a big empty tent. (This mass migration would include the growing number of black and Hispanic conservatives in the GOP. These good hard working people are in the GOP because they understand and live by conservative principles -- not because they are part of some equal opportunity RNC scheme.)

Intelligent people do not choose a party affiliation because of the color of their skin. They choose it because it reflects their ideals. The GOP needs to understand, and it needs to understand this soon, that there is no Republican Party without conservatives -- and conservatives need to start acting on this fact.

Conservatives who decide to abandon the GOP will have a rough time finding a new political party to live with. The Libertarian Party is wedded to the "philosophy" of selfishness and Ayn Rand. The Constitution Party is barely a blip on the political radar.

If reconciliation between conservatives and the GOP is going to happen, conservatives must take firm control of the GOP. Here are some tough love suggestions for how this can be done:

(1) No more money. The first thing conservatives must do is stop giving any money to the GOP. All contributions must stop -- at least for the short term. We have all received letters from the RNC that ask for money to help fight "liberal tax and spend Democrats." Most of us have taken the bait and sent in contributions. Conservatives need to recognize these letters for what they are: a scam.

These letters never mention issues like the global warming hoax, or stopping illegal immigration, or the federal bailouts. They can't. The Republican Party has taken no fixed stand on these issues. In fact, the GOP's presidential candidate supported the liberal position on all of these issues. Conservatives must stop settling for half a loaf from the GOP. And we must insist that the Republican Party recognize that half a loaf is ... half a loaf.

Until the Republican Party takes a coherent and cohesive conservative stand on all of the major issues facing America, and only finances candidates who actively support those positions, GOP solicitation letters should be sent back sans contribution. I suggest inserting a polite little note that says something like this, "Contribution will be forthcoming as soon as you show me that the money is only supporting candidates who actually uphold the principles outlined in this solicitation."

In other words, no more conservative money goes to the RINOs. Not a penny. Unless the Republican Party gives us hard evidence that it is willing to reform and stop using conservative money to support "moderate" candidates, conservatives must stop funding the GOP. It is that simple.

If conservatives want real change real fast in the Republican Party, the best thing we can do is stop funding the GOP. Until the GOP earns our support, we should send all of our political contributions directly to the conservative candidates who have. (See point 5 below.)

(2) No more excuses. Conservatives must stop making excuses for the GOP and start demanding change. I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of defending the lightly veiled socialist policies of "compassionate conservatism."

In fact, I refuse to defend such policies any more. When a liberal argues with me that "Republicans supported the bailout too -- it was Bush's idea," my response is "I am not going to defend Bush. I am a conservative -- not a Republican." In short, and in my opinion, conservatives must stop defending the indefensible.

Here is another way to say this: Conservatives must stop looking back and start thinking forward. We must stop defending the GOP. Instead, we must demand change within the Republican Party. The glaring mistakes that the GOP has made in the last ten years are not the fault of conservatives. Let the past go, let go of Bush, and forget McCain. Conservatives need to think ahead and move forward -- and so does the GOP.

(3) No more manipulation. Republicans have manipulated conservatives for far too long with empty promises of governmental reform. John McCain received a standing ovation from the delegates at the RNC when he proclaimed the end of big government spending. In less than two months he suspended his campaign to fly back to Washington so that he could work and vote for the first bailout bill -- the largest single government expenditure in peacetime history.

Conservatives should no longer condone or support such palpable pretense and the GOP needs to stop shoveling it. To be brutally frank, if the GOP wants conservative support, then their Republican candidates must stop lying to us.

(4) New leadership now. The GOP must dump its current crop of congressional leaders. These men seem to be comfortable being in the minority. They know how to say "bi-partisan" and "compromise" -- but they have no clue about how to say the simplest of words: "No."

Listen to House Minority Leader John Boehner's take on his recent meeting with then President-elect Obama on the next trillion-dollar bailout. Listen to the words from his own website. Boehner wants "to craft a plan [trillion-dollar bailout -- the sequel] that can pass in a bipartisan fashion." This is a pre-announced capitulation. It is not leadership. Conservatives must demand that the house cleaning of the GOP begin with the Republican's congressional leadership.

(5) Finally, let's take this bull by the horns. Conservatives need to start running for office. I know. I know. This is a daunting idea. But stop and think about it for a moment. If Nancy Pelosi is fit to be the Speaker of the House, then at least 90% of the rest of America's citizens are qualified to run for some public office. (This includes 99.99% of America's conservative stay at home moms. Run ladies run!)

There are problems with this final proposal. Most conservatives are too busy working at the jobs that make the country run to quit their real jobs and run the country. Be that as it may, some of us must step up to the political plate and take our turn at bat. After all, conservatives believe in limited government and this includes, for some of us, a limited term of public service.[i]

Which conservatives should run? Mothers whose children have left the nest, retired, or soon to be retired, business owners or workers, young conservatives who have been successful in business and can afford to sacrifice a few years in public office to help get the ship of state back on course, etc.

Look into your heart. Are you the next Sarah Palin? Why not? Those conservatives that can afford to run for office need to run for office; those who cannot run need to actively support those who can. And we need to do it from within the GOP.

How do conservatives gain control of the GOP? The answer is simple: We take it.

A tribute to Sarah

Classy video.
I will be back later to insert some thoughts about this woman and women in general, but right now Im heading back to the sofa to watch the next playoff game with hubby.
**UPDATE***
Ah, I'm back. It is Monday morning and after a full 24 hours of minimal msm garbage I think I am rested enough to take a peek at the morning's headlines. I've been thinking about what I want to say about Sarah. I belong to Team Sarah an organization of men and women committed to helping 1. Sarah in her next election and 2. Meeting the smear campaigners head on where ever we encounter them. This next article falls right in line with that. It seems they aren't content with regurgitating their lies and "wishful thinking" on the news media outlets, now they've decided to inflitrate all the sites dedicated to helping Sarah. In the blogging world we call them "trolls"

I know for a while the standard method of dealing with trolls has been to simply ignore them and wait for them to go away. And it worked for a while. However, due to evolution (yes even trolls have the ability to evolve apparently) they've learned a new trickhttp://www.redstate.com/freedomist/2009/01/02/liberal-conspiracy-to-frame-and-defame-teamsarah-busted/. Post on a conservative website the most disgusting or vile comments they can imagine about race or women, then take a screen shot and use that to point out "Look over at this blog how mean and horrible! They support Sarah...this PROVES she's a raaaccist."

Now, I'm not in law enforcement, but this feels alot like planting evidence to me. Which, just goes to show that not all evolution is a positive thing...

Guess what? It's Winter!

My poor southern goldfish. I guess they are ok, I see their lateral fins move every once in a while. Since the entire pond isn't frozen and the pump is still running, I guess they are getting air. How much air can a goldfish use if it is a popsicle anyway? They will be ok...please PETA don't email me. This happens every once in a while.

Ok, yeah I know it is winter, but brrrr...the outdoor temperatures here havn't gotten above freezing for a few days now. This is a shot of the pump-thing in my goldfish pond. The picture doesn't do it justice though; doesn't quite capture the light right.
I suppose I shouldn't complain, it is a bright sunshiny day here after all and we don't have snow piled up yards deep. It could be worse :)
Today is going to be a restful day for my husband and myself. Our boys are off on with their respective friends and the house is quiet...too quiet. I haven't even checked the news yet today. I think I will practice for the Inauguration and keep the MSM out of my private sanctuary for a bit longer.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.

My Tax Dollars at Work

...and because I don't already have enough reason to want the United Nations thrown out of my country there is this nice article over in American Thinker from Ed Lasky.
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/01/un_school_hit_by_israelis_has.html

The United Nations agency that administers a school in Gaza where dozens of civilians were killed by Israeli mortar fire last week has admitted to employing terrorists to work at its Palestinian schools in the past, has no system in place to keep members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad off its payroll, and provides textbooks to children that contain hate speech and other incendiary information.

You see, the United Nations is unconcerned about terrorist being on the payroll and since our tax dollars are used to fund this rediculous organization I think it is past time that we demand better.
I never considered myself to be an isolationist, but more and more I find myself thinking about that idea. What if we just pulled in our horns and let the rest of the world fight it out? What if we redeployed our troops in our own country and let them hunt down the terrorists we already know are living in this country before they have another chance to strike at us? We can do that, can't we? Ok, maybe not...but lets start with kicking the UN out of the US and cutting off funding until we have oversight for OUR money. That seems like a good start!

Funhouse mirrors

Remember going to a fair and going into one of those houses with all the funky mirrors that twisted and warped your image? Thats kind of where I feel like I am these days. Everything seems to have a double meaning or is twisted into a gnarled caricature of its true self. Never in my life did I ever think I would have to worry that a jet airplane would be used as a weapon for terrorists. But, it happened. Never before did I think it was possible to elect the least qualified person in the primaries as president, but it happened. It's just bizarre crap like that that has made me feel so off balance and as though I've stepped into the middle of a Twilight Zone episode.
I'm passing along a bit from a blog in Australia. I never read this one, but I got a heads up from a friend of mine. Where will freedom of speech be in the next 5 years? Will that be one of those things that one day we will whisper about in hushed tones? I really hope not, but I fear it will be so.
Mirror Mirror on the wall...

...and then there's this from The Midnight Sun
http://www.themidnightsun.org/?p=3625

Today The Australian newspaper published an article entitled ‘Raiding powers for human rights body’ which discusses the increased powers of the Victorian law enforcement agencies to come into your home and seize your belongings as ‘evidence’ and arrest you if they conclude you are guilty of what they term discriminatory speech. As I read both the article and the comments by the excellent Janet Albrechtsen on the threat to our liberties, I decided to jot down some thoughts of my own:

As the day has worn on, I’ve finally come to a decision on what I need to do: I’ve decided to delete all of my previous posts and those of my co-contributors, which I’ve just done. MK’s posts may still be read over at his own blog, MK’s views (linked on our blogroll). It was tough as these posts represent hours and hours of research and much heartfelt commentary. But I believe that our time for blogging is coming to an end in the near future and for reasons that I won’t go into here, for me personally, it’s time to get out.

An interview with Sarah Palin

This is an exerpt of an interview with John Ziegler. As always, I appreciate Sarah's candor. Media bias? What media bias? This whole thing would be funny if it didn't have such tragic consequences for our country.

and then underscore it with this amazing demonstration of "informed voters"...I'm being sarcastic...they weren't informed. Oh... you get that part, sorry. :)

in Jesus' name...

What a brave woman. Maybe this is the way to peace.

For this woman I pray that God will place her in his protection and touch her husband's heart that he might see the truth of Islam and come to know the truth of God's infinite love.

St. Michael the Archangel please watch over her and protect her from the evil one.

Archie and the Dems (funny stuff)

I remember watching this show as a kid and much of the humor when right over my head, but my mom loved the show. As an adult, I see why now :)
Enjoy

I'm sick of hearing "O poor Palestine"

I am so sick of hearing of how horrible it is that Hamas and company are being so badly treated by the big mean IDF. Israel isn't the ones lobbing unaimed rockets into civilian populations, Israel isn't using women and children and the elderly as human shields because they are TOO COWARDLY to come out and fight like a soldier...No, that isn't Israel.

Check out this video from Carl in Jerusalem
http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2009/01/video-hamas-exploitation-of-civilians.html

and even better, see them for yourself, here protesting in Canada. I have yet to see one single Jewish man, woman or child chanting "death, death to Hamas"

Where is the world's outrage at a people who hide weapons in a schoolbuilding or a mosque? Where is the world's outrage at anyone who would scream "Go back to your oven" When the Palestinians get tired of their people being used as meat shields for these cowards, maybe then they will start to report some of them and maybe next time they get a chance to have an election they will remember the terror they live with today...and vote for true freedom.

This poem might not make much sense to most of you who read this, but there is a few who will understand and recognize Skeleton Woman instantly...

Making Love to Skeleton Woman
by BoneWolf

When you rise from the murky depths of my soul
Teeth chatter, bones clatter
You whisper love to me
You call me to your embrace
I have much to learn from you.
I need to learn from you.

I no longer row faster
in a vain attempt to silence you.
I stop.
Turn.
And embrace into my soul
all that you are speaking.
I do not always understand
but, I always listen.

You've risen once again to caution me
to guide me
to make love to my soul.
You are not gentle
You are not sweet
You are honest
You are truth

Let me lay down again with you
Skeleton Woman
Let me feel your bones among my own
Feel my heart beating into yours
And let me know the truth
